This webinar will be geared towards the industrial client base providing information on the Federal Plastics Registry, a new reporting obligation by Environment Canada. The course will provide a background on the goal and genesis of the registry as well as how it will impact clients. Pinchin will demo a screening tool which is designed to identify if clients are required to report to PHASE I of the regulation. There will be a question-and-answer period at the end of the webinar.

Michael Szudy, BA (Hons)
Senior Client Manager, Emissions Reduction & Compliance

Michael Szudy is a Senior Client Manager and Key Account Manager Leader in the Emissions Reduction & Compliance (ERC) group and has been employed by Pinchin Ltd. since 2008. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts, Honors Specialization Geography from the University of Western Ontario.

Michael has more than 17 years of environmental consulting experience. His areas of expertise include client management, business development, strategy development and execution, ambient and Non-Agricultural Source Material (NASM) odour sampling and portfolio project management for multiple industries. Michael has accumulated his expertise through completing hundreds of environmental site visits, broadening his knowledge of processes and systems in the field. He has extensive experience with large scale portfolio management ensuring project deliverables are met while maintaining a high-quality standard. Michael also manages National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) air emission reporting requirements annually for many clients across Canada as well as the accounts receivable for the emissions reduction and compliance group. He has experience with water sampling assessments, and in the preparation of Request for Quotations (RFQ) and proposals for Clients in a variety of sectors. Michael has established processes for business development, accounts receivable and proposals which benefit the ERC group by creating efficiencies and improved responsiveness. Michael displays his leadership within the ERC group through mentoring and training junior staff. As a dependable and excellent communicator, Michael uses a client first approach to strengthen his relationships and contribute towards business development and strategy execution for Pinchin.

Ajay Madan, P.Eng.
Senior Project Manager and National Practice Leader, Emissions Reduction & Compliance

Ajay Madan is a Senior Project Engineer and National Practice Leader in the Emissions Reduction & Compliance (ERC) group. Ajay holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from McMaster University and a Post-Graduate diploma in Environmental Engineering Applications from Conestoga College. He has received his Professional Engineer designation.
Ajay has over 21 years of experience, including air permitting, regulatory reporting, compliance assessment, dispersion modelling, and Emission Summary and Dispersion Modeling (ESDM) reporting. This experience extends to commercial real estate sites, institutional sites (e.g., universities, schools, hospitals, etc.), North American manufacturers, and industrial sectors, including power generation. Ajay is responsible for senior review of ESDM reports and Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) submission documents. He also acts as a senior mentor for specific project work.
As National Practice Leader, Ajay assists in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality of work, as well as the support of local staff and management in financial and business support, staff development and coaching, and overall service delivery and quality of work.
