Package of one Rapidos short-term radon detector and one Radtrak3 long-term radon detector.

Rapidos detectors are ideal for test durations ranging from 10 to 90 days, while Radtrak3 detectors are ideal for test durations ranging from 91 days to one year.

It is recommended that you conduct your long-term test between the months of October and April when radon levels are more likely to be elevated. If your long-term test is not fully conducted between October and April, we recommend that your detector be deployed for one year.

Radtrak3 detectors can be used to measure your home or building's radon levels using the same reliable alpha-track technology as our previously offered Radtrak2 detectors, but in a more compact, environmentally friendly design, with increased sensitivity.

Each combo pack kit includes the following:

  • One Rapidos short-term radon detector
  • One Radtrak3 long-term radon detector
  • Two chain of custody forms
  • Two detailed detector deployment instruction sheets
  • Two pre-addressed return envelopes (please note: return postage is not included)
  • Laboratory analysis of your detectors
  • Two follow-up radon monitoring reports (sent via e-mail)

Your radon monitoring reports will include a recommended mitigation timeframe, as per Health Canada's guidelines, which you can refer to should either of your radon measurements be elevated. You will also be connected with a Pinchin contact who will be able to assist with any questions you might have regarding your radon measurements or mitigation solutions, if applicable.
