Long-Term Radon Detector (Radtrak3 Detector)
Couldn't load pickup availability
Radtrak3 detectors can be used to measure your home or building's radon levels using the same reliable alpha-track technology as our previously offered Radtrak2 detectors, but in a more compact, environmentally friendly design, with increased sensitivity.
These long-term radon detectors are ideal for test durations ranging from 91 days to one year. It is recommended that you conduct your test between the months of October and April when radon levels are more likely to be elevated. If your test is not fully conducted between October and April, we recommend that your detector be deployed for one year.
Each long-term kit includes the following:
- One Radtrak3 long-term radon detector
- Chain of custody form
- Detailed detector deployment instruction sheet
- Pre-addressed return envelope (please note: return postage is not included)
- Laboratory analysis of your detector
- Follow-up radon monitoring report (sent via e-mail)
Your radon monitoring report will include a recommended mitigation timeframe, as per Health Canada's guidelines, which you can refer to should your radon measurement be elevated. You will also be connected with a Pinchin contact who will be able to assist with any questions you might have regarding your radon measurement or mitigation solutions, if applicable.
